SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME:
The main event will be held over 1 ½ days, from 26 – 27 February, 2011 and will
consists of plenary sessions, video presentations, research (platform and poster)
sessions. It will cover the whole spectrum of Clinical Research from basic to advance.
Pre-conference industry sponsored kick-off seminars will be held the day preceding
the conference, i.e. 25th February 2011. The intention of conducting this course is to
formulate course material relevant to the region and to develop faculty from the region
who will be able to run the objective of this conference in the future. |
CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS:
Young Scientist Award:
To encourage young scientists, Organizing Committee announces “Young Scientist Award” for
all registered delegate presenting oral/poster. This awards carry a sum of Rs.11,000/ in each section
(Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, QA & QC), besides a
Certificate of merit and gold medal.
- Applications are invited from registered participants of International Symposium who had paid their
registration fee and submitted the paper abstract on or before January 25, 2011. The upper age limit
of the candidates for the award is 35 years as reckoned on February 2011.
- Two copies of full paper along with two copies of the abstract (not exceeding 200 words) shall have
to reach the office of the conference not later than January 25, 2011. At the top of each copy of the
paper and its abstract, the name of the Section where the paper is to be presented should be indicated.
The Sections are: Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical, Chemistry, QA & QC.
- Two copies of the bio-data of the Candidate including full name and address (with phone, mobile
number ,fax and e-mail) along with the date of birth (duly supported by an attested copy of the
certificate), research experience, list of publications along with copies of reprints and membership
number etc., should be appended to the full paper.
- The candidate should give an undertaking that the work which is being submitted has not been
published in any journal or presented in any other Conference / Seminar / Symposium or submitted
for consideration of any award.
- In case of a paper by more than one authors, the candidate (Young Scientist) has to be acknowledged
by the other author(s) (in terms of a certificate) as having made the major contribution.
- A Young Scientist could present only one paper in any one Section (and not a second paper with the
same or related work in any other Section).
- The final selection for the Awards will be done by a duly constituted committee and the awards will
be given at Goa during International conference on 27-28th February 2011.
- The last date for receiving papers is January 25, 2011, send all communication/ application at address
mentioned on registration form.
CALL FOR PAPERS:
Original contributions based on practice/theory/research related to the theme are invited
for poster presentation. All papers will go through a process of review and accepted papers
will be published in the symposium proceedings. All papers must be original contributions
and should be submitted through Courier/post and soft copy should be by email. A panel of
experts will review each contributed paper. Authors should use * Font: Times New Roman, *
Font Size: 12 points, * File Format: MS Word format with double space, * Word Limit: 5000
POSTER SPECIFICATION:
Please ensure your poster meets the below mentioned criteria:
- The area provided for poster presentation will not be more than 0.95 meter (95 cm) wide by 1.2 meter height (120cm).
- The title of the poster should cover the full width of the poster. The title should be brief, informative and written in bold letters.
- The names of authors’ address/es should be written below the title in small letters. The name of the presenting author should be underlined.
- Presenting author should be registered for PHARMACON-2010.
- The sizes of the letter should be such that a viewer can read it from 2 meter distance. The message should be clear and understandable without oral explanation.
